Minerva began to walk towards the Quidditch Pitch, nervous about the battle that would be taking place. Even thought she was reserved in most matters, the Gryffindor Quidditch matches were one exception to the rule. She would always arrive early to watch the players during their warm up routines. Of course it looked to others that she was simply catching up on some reading before the game, but her early attendance was simply because she could not wait to get out to the field and support her house team.

"Professor?" Ron asked, embarassed at seeing his Professor out so early. "What are you doing walking this way?" Knowing his face was already beet-red, he ducked his head and looked away.

And lucky Harry doesn't lose his head in a crisis - "there's no wood", honestly.

"Mr. Weasley." Minerva nodded her hello, careful not to let her excitement gush out as she continued on her path to the stands. "I am simply getting a good seat for the game."
Allowing a small smile to pass through her usually stony facade, McGonagall lowered her voice a bit as she neared the redheaded boy. She would never confess the fact that the Weasley clan were some of her favorite Gryffindor students, although she was sure that Albus knew how she secretly kept her eye on certain students in each house.
"Ready for the game today?" she asked plainly. "Are you playing?" The same red hair as their parents, she remembered to when Bill and Charlie were first at Hogwarts, so different from the Twins who were always testing her strength to keep from laughing. Percy and she had never quite clicked, there had been times when she wondered if Percy was placed in the right house. And now Ron and Ginny were the last Weasley's at Hogwarts.

Wondering why the Professor seemed so excited, Ron looked around to make sure she was talking to him. "Ermm.. yeah, Professor. I am." Getting a good look at her familiar face, he couldn't help from asking, "Do you always come early ?" Blushing profusely for asking such a forward question, Ron felt his ears heat up and knew they'd gone red. "Sorry, Professor."
Grinning sheepishly, he fell into step next to his Professor. Her class wasn't his favourite, but she was one of his favourite Professors without a doubt. It wasn't the fact that she was a fun teacher - more for the fact that she was fair. Strict, yes, but fair. And, though he would never openly admit it to anyone (especially Hermione), he learned a lot from her.

Minerva smiled at the boy, suddenly warmed by the fact that he felt sorry for getting too personal. Not that he had...yet it was touching none the less.
"Nothing to be sorry for, Mr. Weasley. Yes. Between you and me, I am always early for the Gryffindor games." She held up her book for effect. "The stands are a great place to read..."

Ron, his ears and face still a bright red, nodded, still unsure as to what to say that wouldn't sounds inappropriate. "I come early too," He blurted, not thinking. If possible, his face turned even brighter. "Well, not always," He shrugged, trying to shrug off the sense of impending embarassment. Inwardly cursing, Ron promised himself he wouldn't say anything stupid again, knowing the promise was about to be broken the next time he opened his mouth.
